These TWINS Rock!

WOW!! I can not get over how close these 2 boys are in body. I'm so glad that there are judges and breeders that have Wayyyyyyy more experience than I 'cause I just can not make up my mind who is better they are so close. It's apparent that Judges are also divided since one judge will often choose one buck then another will choose the twin. I can't wait till Thursday when the BEST will make her determination, lol. For now see if you can tell....

Introducing newly taken photos today of EDEN...

And now Harley....

Family, party and tears.

Ahhhhhhh Christmas time. The one time of the year I have a license to make my Mom cry. It's like a goal of mine.... a happy proud cry though. We had a blast during our little Christmas celebration in the basement. Mom works so hard to make it comfortable. It always feels like home no matter what. This house has been a part of our family since the 1940's. First being Grandma's and now it's been Mom's. It took me a long time to call it Mom's, IT was always Grandma's house for the longest time after she passed and Mom took it. But now after many years (although Grandma's ashes are still in the basement) it's Mom's house. So we celebrate life and family together in a magical setting that only my Mom could pull off in a basement.

Here you see Aunt Gail tickled over her Mobious. She loved the colors and texture. Greens ARE her FAVORITE colors.

Even my daughter... is not difficult to get. Although we were kept apart for 15 years I got her right off the bat! We are so much alike it is scary!

We had a really great time... the kids all had fun and the adults did too!

Knit-a-rama

That's what was going on the last week and a half as I scurried to finish all of my project and just in the "nick of time"! Can not tell you right now who gets what but this will give you a quick glance at my time...
This project finally was finished after many obstacles of trying to get enough yarn to finish it when all the stores had pulled their stock!

Here you see the "Cabled slippers". I didn't like the finished back of the pattern so I modified these a little. Off the feet they look a little "weird" but on they really are nice.

Finally the Moebius is the last bit that I have completed this far. Below you will see Andi modeling it for me.

Holiday Washcloth

Every Holiday I chose to knit a special washcloth for family (and occasionally friends). I've yet to duplicate a pattern. Mom is out to "collect" enough for a Afghan of many colors eventually, lol. So for this Holiday she will get one of these. Can't tell you which one just in case she is bored enough to "hop" in and check out my blog. Something different was in order for sure, I get tired easily of squares so images inlaid this time proved to be entertaining...

Remember the reason...

As I wish everyone a SAFE and Merry Christmas (or whatever you may celebrate)... PLEASE take a moment to remember the reasons we really gather. For it's not the presents or the food that matters, but the warmth of family loaned to us by our Savior.

IF you believe you will see me in all places...

The Impressive Pearl D...

Well funny as it may sound... begging a bun to have the babies "IN THE BOX" for 24 hours didn't quite seem to do the trick. She (Pearl D) had this litter on the wire...9! Now of those 9 we scooped up 8 to warm and put "IN THE BOX". (She ate 1). Lucky for us that once we made the nest and got them settled in she has been an incredible mother. Those babies are not getting chilled in the least bit! And nursing... WOW!!

Now the fun begins as I try to color ID these kits. In the pictures I've taken they almost look fawn. BUT by my eye they appear to be a light Chocolate with a glow (almost a frosts' kiss). I've never seen photos of frosted so I'm not quite sure If they are Frosted Chocolate Pearl? I also think I may be seeing some torts, but not sure yet either. Those I can usually id within a few days. I've looked up pictures of the Ermine and I at this point I am not seeing those in this litter. But here is some of what the camera sees.... votes please ladies.....

The "Witch" delivers

Not the Typical Lionhead... Witch is a cross. Fuzzy Lop and Lionhead.

She was bred to Bozz to bring a small body and ear (honestly LOOK at those ears!) to the herd.
If the mane gene is passed as well as the short stocky body and the small ear like we hope we could have a nice litter. If this litter is not what is expected in type then Witch will move out. Believe it or not there are 7 beautiful new babies in there.... most are BLACK! That is what we are after in this case.

Penny Blessings...

On 12/3 Penny yet again amazed me with the addition of yet another Squirrel and Black. She is such a good mother. Sooner again is the sire. I'm very excited about the squirrel. I'm hoping it's a buck.

Ahhhh Bah Humbug!!

This year it's difficult to "get into the Christmas Spirit" with the children fussing and Scott still home sick. But none-the-less Mom is trying to inspire me... as always. I brought home yesterday a beautiful love seat of Mom's that I've always adored. It's maybe a couple years old. A dual rocker/recliner. She is waiting for her new "Lexus" chair to be delivered. It's her Christmas present to herself... so I got to have the "love seat". Break my heart. Anyway, with all the unfortunate happening she felt the need to inspire my decorating for the holidays, it might just work. I think I'll be rearranging my living room now to give it a new look and maybe (just maybe) decorate. It'll probably take me a couple days. If you've seen my Living room you'd understand. Course it's not the love seat that's inspired me, it's really her faith in my strength. And her Snow babies helped too... :^)

The color expands...

So many beautiful choices.... Hmmmmmmm bodies come to me. Body will determine who I keep but I'm really liking these....

Above is Lexus (doe).

To the right is Jean-Luc (buck).
Below is Star (buck).

Out of the litter of 9 all that remains available are 3 REW's and 1 Black.

Final Disposition...

Thank you all who sent well wishes and power vibes for our family! Although this case was in and out of the court room in only 15 minutes it seems we only won by a strand of wool. This case is closed with the "unsuccessful termination" status. Patrick remains on house arrest/EMD untill his PO so chooses that he can be released (prior cases). In a small dance of victory we at least are finished with this particular issue...

French Angora....

Could it be that the more French you carry the more you look like a French Angora? Just add ears! OR maybe he is a great raptor snatching my babies!!LOL.... Annette took this picture of Scott as he hustled our 2 young Jr. Bucks back to their carriers. Someone was worried he'd spill that coffee and carried that over to me when I was putting our cream Jr. back in the carrier. You can see Fran in the background with one of their Flemish Giants. It was a brief moment of laughter for me as I know how sick he is he doesn't have the energy or strength for very long.

DEAR GOD

Please GOD... Grant me strength today. It's going to be a challenging day for me as I face our judicial system yet again. Today is Patrick's Disposition (2nd one). Please provide me the ability to keep my temper under control and not lash out verbally at anyone regardless of the outcome. Amen.

I'm terrified! Patrick's probation officer wants him to go back to detention for 40 more days!! Just because his PO wants his version of "the truth" to come out of Patrick's mouth, regardless of whether or not it is the truth. 40 days!! That would mean another child not home for Christmas!! One that does not deserve this treatment from our judicial system!! Please girls.... send positive vibes today...

Scott is still home sick! Another appointment today with a "different" Doctor since ours is on vacation. Cross our fingers that "he" can get Scott over this quickly! And maybe fill out the AFLAC paperwork before we have no home to stay at. It'll take 2 weeks once that paperwork is turned in for any financial relief to come. In the meantime we pray!

Broke and scared that's what I am.

What AM I?

I'm not Fawn nor Black, I am not Cream nor Chocolate. I am a Chinchilla (I think). My sire is Hopscotch (the Broken Fawn) and my dam is Gwen (a Sable). Help me decide what I am...

Ok girls.... seriously. What is the color of this baby? Silvery Blue at birth with the markings of the Agouti. However, present was silver/white streks down its back. Here is a baby picture taken 8 days after birth. The above picture is what this doe looks like now. She is beautiful and now has black tipped guard hairs. Eyes are: Blue-Gray.

Siblings include... 3 REW's, 2 broken blacks, a broken chocolate Agouti, a solid black, and one broken like me.

T-Bird flies the coop...

We all know my undying love of my brokens. BUT knowing I have my first Bucks genetics in my herd made my decision to sell him so much easier. So now I say my final good bye to my first broken buck. T-Bird may you have a peacefull life that you deserve filled with many days of breeding and being spoiled the way you should be with a NON-smoker at your side! You will not be forgotten my dear friend!

An Enjoyable show day!

Friends and Family enjoyed the Looong day at the Zainesville, Ohio show. Hubby spent time sleeping as always. Since he is sick I expected nothing less. Caught in the act again however, not in his usual location since it was so very crowded.

I worked on Mom's Christmas project till I ran out of yarn, lol. Whenever I bring extra I never need it. But let me leave it at home and bam... I do! So by 1 pm I was bored and went visiting with Lisa and Annette. I enjoyed our chat.

Plenty of time for knitting and sharing with friends for sure. Even during writing there is time for the occasional row to be finished. ;^)

Here is Annette doing just that. There is our ever hard working Lisa writing for our Judge in the 2nd show.

It's hard to get a picture of Annette not looking right at you and smiling. Since she was a Professional Photographer she can "smell" a camera lens when it points on her! lol ;^) I felt honored to catch her without a smile and working on her project.

Now a funny thing was said to me. And to bring it more life... here I go. Matthew was enjoying visiting and sharing his new friend Chrysler (aka:Rehab, to me) with EVERYONE! But as I was chatting with Lisa she commented to me "He looks like a little ol' man staring at me." So here is the little ol man that lives in the shoe... lol, I could not resist this twist!

The moment I blink this tender moment of the illusive "good child" will be gone. So I try to capture these moments when I can to help me remember WHY! I continue to fight the unending battles for and with these children.
