"Spooktaclur" Display

So the entertainment stand once again sports Mom's love of collecting Department 56 houses and such. "We" always try to set up a nice seasonal display. This year I was "to busy" with the darn kids and house crap to get to enjoy it but my Aunt set out and did a wonderful job!! It's really awesome! The houses are electric and have lightening with sound or witches and ghosts swirling around! She carefully plans every year adding "special" pieces to bring us all cheer!

Honestly though she needs a much bigger display area!! So many of her pieces have never made it out except to check them when they arrive!

Going Home

I love alot of the seasons, all except the heat of the summer. Fall, I'm especially fond of. Halloween gets my "spirits" up. Mom and I share so many things, something growing up I missed alot of. (I lived with my Dad not Mom). It has taken many years for us to form the bond we now have! It's amazing how much (and sometimes how little) we have in common!! One thing remains true though, no matter the season I Love "going home" . It brings peace to my stressful life!

IT's not a bird!

How silly!! The eyes can play tricks on my mind when I'm exhausted. As I sat during a recent visit to Mom's this past Tuesday I discovered a beautiful "bird" sitting in Mom's lilac bush. So I thought that was what it was!! But as I wondered out to take a closer look Saturday that "bird" turned out to be a "GHOST"!! LOL

The last sunflower...

As you know Mom's gardens always inspire me (and my camera finger). Saturday was no exception as the last remaining sunflower of the season dangled from it's stem.

Size does matter...

At least for Sunny and Flyer! This litter born on the first of October packs a punch weight wise! These are BIG babies!! Guess flyer was holding out in his size to pass it all over to his offspring!! :-) Here is a couple of the babies~ eyes just starting to open. Hmmmmmmm, who should I keep?? Only time will tell. 2 BLACKS, 2 Lilac Cream torts, 1 Chocolate and 1 Blue all equal in size!

The wool/fiber tote runs over...

Well I'm beginning to think I'll never get time to spin... I've taken some pictures of what I'll be selling (I hope) of my own plucked fiber. Everything was carefully weighted and grouped by colors... of course blacks and brokens are the majority right now. Anyone interested in buying a little fiber for spinning?? $5 an ounce plus shipping.
